We are not a Bed and Breakfast. Lakeview is your own private residence for the duration of your rental. The house is more than fifty vertical feet down from the main road and surrounded by a waterfall on one side and the lake on another. This creates an atmosphere of true serenity, yet a five minute drive into town takes you to every amenity of restaurant, shopping and movies that any big city can offer.

A one minute drive towards town takes you to Cass Park which offers soccer and softball fields, a running trail and is home to the Hangar Theatre, where productions are put on all summer. Or if you prefer, you can canoe down the inlet to the Farmer's Market on Saturdays and Sundays, or stop in at one of the several bars and restaurants located on the inlet. Go fifteen minutes in the opposite direction and you can enjoy a tour of some Finger Lakes Wineries on the western slopes of Cayuga Lake. Throughout Ithaca there are numerous hiking trails and gorges as well as Taughannock Falls, Buttermilk Falls, and Treman Park.

But enough about what there is to do besides staying at Lakeview!!! Our house consists of a main house with an apartment underneath. The main house has three bedrooms, three bathrooms (one bathroom has a jacuzzi and the masterbath is an environment system ....jacuzzi,sauna,steam,rain,stereo), a dining room (seats 8-10), a 25X25 living room with a pool table and fireplace as well as 18' of french glass doors overlooking the lake, and a huge gourmet kitchen.

The house is wrapped by decking (nine decks in total and many stairs!) that cascades down to the beachfront area. The beach area is the largest flat lake frontage in the area with a dock that extends into the lake. Next to the beach wall is a convenient shallow wading area and off of the end of the dock is a 6' plunge.
The apartment underneath is also three bedrooms with its own bathroom and complete kitchen facilities. It has a dining area, a living room and a small deck off the living room. It makes for a perfect share for a couple of families on vacation together! Ithaca is a simple four hour drive from Manhattan, five and a half from Boston and one hour from Syracuse and Rochester.
